About Rebecca Henderson

I am the John and Natty McArthur University Professor at Harvard University. My research explores the degree to which the private sector can play a major role in building a more sustainable economy, focusing particularly on the relationships between organizational commitment and innovation and productivity in high performance organizations. I teach the award winning MBA class “Reimagining Capitalism," which is now available as a book by the same title out April 2020: http://bit.ly/recapbook I am also a research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research and a fellow of both the British Academy and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences. I have a degree in mechanical engineering from MIT, a Phd in business economics from Harvard, and was a Professor at MIT’s Sloan School of Management for more than twenty years. I sit on the boards of Amgen, IDEXX Laboratories and CERES.
