About Chris Summers
I am a dedicated, results-oriented individual who loves technology and being a "geek" but can also step into Management/Leadership roles as necessary. I have worn many hats over the years working my way up from a support role into various Management and Leadership positions. Doing the same thing over every day bores me to tears; I enjoy being presented with a problem, researching the root cause and presenting a solution that makes someone's day so they can move onto more productive activities. Learning by doing is how I work best; deconstructing a problem and/or technology helps me understand how things work and thus become familiar with how to get the most out of something through troubleshooting, automation and optimization. I am naturally curious so will ask a lot of "why" questions to ensure I fully understand the issue at hand. I created a single global Operating System image/imaging process that worked across at least a dozen different desktop/laptop platforms servicing ~12K users allowing a PC to be imaged/reimaged quickly minimizing downtime for the user. I was awarded the Silver CIO Achievement Award as a result. Working in a large company has also exposed me to various integration activities that are required as part of mergers and acquisitions. This gives an opportunity to find creative solutions that allow minimal disruption for the user base at a minimal cost to the company. I am comfortable interfacing with all levels of an organization from the user base up to and including Senior Leadership. Working with a globally dispersed team has been a necessity in my career and as such I am comfortable working remotely on my own, with a virtual team or in an office environment with a team in proximity. I enjoy helping others and volunteer my time in my community to various organizations. Specialties include but are not limited to: Office 365 Administration, PowerShell, Communication, Training, Documentation, Leadership, Change Management.
