Jose L. Acosta - Executive Vice President
Jose L. Acosta serves as the Executive Vice President. With over two decades of experience, Jose has managed a variety of public and private sector civil engineering infrastructure projects. His expertise includes land development, water and wastewater infrastructure, roadway transportation, and educational institutional projects across Florida. Previously, he directed engineering for a multi-discipline firm in Florida before joining Chen Moore and Associates.

Jose L. Acosta holds Bachelor Degrees in Civil and Architectural Engineering from the University of Miami. He later pursued a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University. His extensive educational background equips him with a versatile skill set in both engineering and business management, allowing him to lead complex infrastructure projects effectively.
Jose L. Acosta - Professional Affiliations and Leadership Roles
Jose L. Acosta has held significant leadership roles in the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), including local branch President, state committee chair, President of the Florida Section, and Region 5 Governor. Additionally, he served as President of the Cuban-American Association of Civil Engineers (CAACE) and remains on their board of directors. Jose is also an active member of Leadership Florida’s Cornerstone 37 Class and its Southeast Region’s Board of Directors.

Jose L. Acosta has been recognized with numerous awards reflecting his contributions to engineering. Notably, he received the Broward Branch's Young Member of the Year Award in 2003 and 2009, was named Young Engineer of the Year by the Broward County Chapter of the FES in 2008, and by the CAACE in 2011. In 2015, he was listed as one of the Top 40 Under 40 by the South Florida Business Journal and was the inaugural winner of the ASCE Region 5 Engineer of the Year award in 2017.
