Her responsibilities include developing and implementing policies, practices, and procedures to protect the bank from financial crimes. Career at Halton Regional Police Service
Before joining CIBC, Bev Crompton had a long and distinguished career at the Halton Regional Police Service. She served as a Detective Constable from 1986 to 2017, specializing in provincial asset forfeiture and organized crime enforcement. She was instrumental in intelligence operations and facilitated complex criminal investigations. During her 31-year tenure in Oakville, Ontario, she also served as a primary investigator for high-profile cases, enhancing her expertise in law enforcement.

Bev Crompton's educational credentials are extensive. She studied Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement at Ontario Police College from 1989 to 2018. Additionally, she completed courses in Money Laundering, Fintrac, and FISO at Canadian Intelligence Service Ontario. She holds a Business/Commerce, General degree from Mohawk College and University of Toronto. Her training also includes a General Investigation course from Ontario Police College.
