Dave W currently serves as the Manager of UX/UI Strategy & Design at CIBC. Since 2018, he has been handling responsibilities that involve shaping the user experience and design strategies for the company's digital products. Dave operates out of Toronto, Canada Area, and contributes to enhancing the overall user interaction with CIBC’s platforms.
Previous Roles and Experience
Dave W has a rich history in the UX/UI field, accumulating experience from various roles over the years. Prior to his current position at CIBC, he worked at VeResume as a Creative Director/Designer from 2017 to 2018 in Toronto. From 2014 to 2017, he served as the UI/UX Web Lead at 1UP Media Inc., also in Toronto. Additionally, he was involved with the University of Guelph as a UI/UX Design/Developer for five months in 2013-2014 in Guelph. In 2013, he took on the role of Web & Design Consultant at Chartwell.com for three months in Mississauga. Earlier in his career, he spent five years as the Lead Designer at Meteora Studios in Oakville from 2008 to 2013.
Educational Background
In terms of education, Dave W has honed his design and business skills through formal studies. He attended Humber College where he studied Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services, achieving a certification in Design for Print and Web in 2011 after one year of study. Additionally, he completed a three-year program at George Brown College from 2004 to 2007, earning a certification in Graphic and Web Design.
