Before his tenure at the City of Scottsdale, Brian Joseph worked at Rural Metro Fire Department as a Firefighter/Paramedic from 1999 to 2005. He also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Scottsdale Community College for one year from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, he worked at Life Safety Solutions LLC as Program Manager/Instructor/IT Logistics Support from 2007 to 2014. His diverse experience has contributed to his expertise in fire service operations and education.

In his current role as Battalion Chief, Brian Joseph is involved in preparing and monitoring the budget for the fire department. He ensures the efficient allocation of resources to maintain operational readiness for emergency services.
