At Actelion Pharmaceuticals, Rob Etherington joined as a founding Director of Marketing in 2000. He was the first U.S. commercial employee and led the U.S. commercial operations. He also chaired the U.S. Commercial Strategic team. During his tenure, he was responsible for the market introduction of five drugs. Actelion later became the largest biopharmaceutical company in the EU until its acquisition by Johnson & Johnson in 2017.
