Guido Baas has been serving as the Head of Supply Chain at Climeworks since 2021. Before becoming the Head of Supply Chain, Guido Baas worked as a Global Category Manager at Climeworks for 9 months from 2020 to 2021. In this role, he was responsible for global sourcing strategies and managing categories to support the company’s operational needs.
Supply Chain Management Experience
Guido Baas has a rich background in supply chain management, having held several key positions across different companies. Between 2019 and 2020, he was the Supply Chain Manager at FluidSolids Biocomposites in Zürich und Umgebung. From 2017 to 2019, he served as Head of Strategic Procurement at Netstal-Maschinen AG in Näfels, Switzerland. In his role at WEIDPLAS GmbH from 2015 to 2017, he was the Head of Supply Chain Planning & Project Purchasing, based in Küsnacht, Switzerland. At Sensirion AG, he worked as a Purchasing Manager from 2012 to 2014 in Stäfa, Switzerland.
Early Career and Other Roles
Guido Baas has also managed significant projects and strategic operations earlier in his career. From 2007 to 2011, he was the Head of SCM Planning at Weidmann Plastics Technology AG in Rapperswil, Switzerland, and before that, from 2005 to 2007, he served as Project Manager Logistics Planning at the same company. Additionally, he gained experience at Daimler AG in Sindelfingen, Germany, working on the Launch Management for the Mercedes-Benz C class in 2005.

Guido Baas has a solid educational foundation in business and logistics. He earned a Bachelor of Arts / Diplom-Betriebswirt from Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg between 2001 and 2004. He further specialized in logistics by achieving a Swiss Diploma in Logistics / Eidg.-dipl. Logistikleiter from GS1 in Berne, Switzerland, in 2010. Additionally, he holds an Executive in Management and Leadership NDS HF from KV Business School Zürich, completed in 2016.
