Previous Experience at Legends Boxing
Prior to his current position, Augustine worked at Legends Boxing as the National Art & Design Manager from 2015 to 2021. He was the sole designer responsible for all art requirements, including print design, web design, web development, brand identity, product design, and photography. His tenure at Legends Boxing allowed him to develop a comprehensive skill set in various design disciplines.
Education and Expertise
Paydn Augustine studied at the Art Institute of Salt Lake City, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from 2011 to 2013. He also attended Salt Lake Community College for one year from 2013 to 2014, where he studied Graphic Design, Journalism, Computer Science, and Biological Science. This diverse educational background has equipped him with a broad range of skills applicable to graphic design and related fields.
Career Development and Early Roles
Augustine began his career as a Graphic Artist at Salt Lake City Weekly, where he worked from 2013 to 2014. He was recognized as the Assistant Art Directors’ Protégé during this time. He later held the position of Lead Designer at Giant Ideas, a startup agency in Lehi, Utah, where he developed skills in web development, team management, and client relations. He also gained experience as a freelance graphic designer at SLUG Magazine and worked as a Jr. Graphic Designer at Huish Outdoors.
Design Influences and Inspiration
Paydn Augustine draws inspiration from the IT industry and the experiences of backpacking in the Uinta Mountains. These influences shape his design and artistic styles, allowing him to create unique and impactful visual content that resonates with diverse audiences.
