I’m Laura, a cross-functional startup and venture capital operator who thrives in early-stage company building. My superpower is my ability to learn quickly. In my professional realm, I'm Chief of Staff (CoS) to Maxine Minter – a multi-time founder, podcast host, and General Partner at Co Ventures, Australia’s first stage-specific pre-seed fund. As the first employee at Co Ventures, I'm laying the groundwork for early fund operations and platform/community support while turbocharging Maxine's impact as an emerging fund manager and leading our special projects portfolio. Additionally, I oversee fractional operations at Co Lab, an executive coach-matching platform. My journey into the startup world began with building First Table's marketing function and team from the ground up. During early hyper-growth, I led a team of three marketers, scaling our efforts to reach a global community of over 650k diners and 1,400 restaurants across six countries—all while bootstrapping. My passion for tech and startups grew from there—first, working on all things go-to-market as a channel partner for Workplace from Meta and Asana, and then becoming Maxine's right-hand person and CoS. On the side, I pay it forward as a Coach at Startmate and an Alumni Editor at The Community Collective for its Community Cohort.
