My passion is building teams that drive business growth: Marketing, BD, Sales, Partnerships, Professional Services, Solution Engineering and Customer Success. My work focuses on the intersection of technology, financial services and business strategy. Currently, I am leading the Commercial Team at Codat. Codat provides APIs for Banks & Fintechs to easily connect to SMB Data. Why does this matter? Through my career in banking, fintech, and commerce, I've learned that the number one need for small businesses is access to capital and financial services. To provide financial services to small businesses, the banks, fintechs and commerce companies need access to the small business data — real time, comprehensive and high quality data. Codat has built and manages the key integrations with SMB systems — QuickBooks, Amazon, NetSuite and 30+ others — so that financial service providers have automated access to SMB data. *** In 2010, I started my career as a technology strategy consultant at PwC. Working with Fortune 500 clients in financial services and healthcare, I learned the fundamentals of business strategy, program management and corporate finance. In 2014, I jumped into Tech, joining Square pre-IPO to build their sales team. After success as an Account Executive (AE), I founded the Square Enterprise Team in 2018. In 3 years leading the team, we grew to 50+ people and $40MM+ ARR. Through my Square experience, I learned the strategies and processes to drive scalable, repeatable and predictable B2B Revenue. Most importantly, I learned the leadership principles and frameworks to create impactful teams through psychological safety, values driven culture and whole human development. In 2021, I made the move into early-stage startups, joining Orum as Head of Sales. Building the team from scratch, I learned how to implement all of the critical revenue systems, processes and strategies -- from Salesforce to recruiting to product pricing -- while delivering the first $1MM+ in bookings. In 2022, I transitioned to a Seed stage company, Butter Payments. Again building the team from scratch, I leveraged my enterprise sales experience to deliver six and seven figure ARR deals. I learned how to go from 0-1 in a real startup, and we raised a $20M Series A.
