Ruyman Reyes currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Codeplay. He joined the company in December 2013 as a Research Engineer. Over the years, he has made significant contributions to the development and standardization of Codeplay’s SYCL implementation, ComputeCpp.
Ruyman Reyes Education and Expertise
Ruyman Reyes holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of La Laguna, with a focus on Compilers and Parallel Programming. His dissertation, titled 'Directive based approach to Heterogeneous Computing,' presented the first OpenACC OpenCL compiler. This academic background has significantly influenced his work in the field of high-performance computing (HPC) and parallel programming.

As part of his role at Codeplay, Ruyman Reyes has led development teams and driven the standardization efforts of ComputeCpp, Codeplay’s SYCL implementation.
