About Catherine Miranda
A mentor once used a particular word to describe me: catalyst. Since then, that word has stuck with me and has continued to describe the highlights of my experience thus far. As a catalyst in my career, I launched the first-ever FilAm Heritage Month celebration and contributed to the growth of ERGs focused on empowering women and the AAPI community. I developed new tactics and strategies to support my book of business that won praise from my clients, peers, and leaders. I've also had the opportunity to lead teams through multiple re-organizations. As a catalyst at San Diego State, I founded the first Women in Business organization on campus. Within a semester, we recruited 60 general members and built an executive team of 12 to bring the club to life. We also teamed up with companies like Google and Adobe by the second semester. Later, we partnered with the Fowler College of Business to support the Women in Entrepreneurship & Leadership event where I had the honor to co-facilitate a discussion with executives from The Walt Disney Company, Pepsico, Adobe, and the San Diego Padres. As all catalysts are defined, I am an "agent that provokes significant change or action." This is not to say I go around changing everything! It simply means that I believe in the positivity that change can bring. I am thrilled to be able to continue in my career to contribute my entrepreneurial spirit and work ethic to help my company achieve success.
