About Rachelle Andrade Nelson

My talents are used to support under-served communities, which includes charter school teams and overseas military school educators. I support educators and leaders around the world with expertise on current teaching pedagogy to enhance instructional practices for game changing results that yield substantial academic growth with tactical strategies for leaders to make positive shifts with reluctant teams. My expertise in the charter school arena has been used to aid in the consultation of start-up operations, growth models, compliance, curriculum vetting, as well as charter renewal. With a career that spans 20 years in education reform, I am able to support in the areas of talent acquisition, operations and finance, facilities, curriculum and instruction, special education, and English Learner development, among other areas. As the co-founder and former Chief Academic Officer of College Achieve Public Schools, which currently serves the community of Plainfield, North Plainfield, Asbury Park, Neptune, and Paterson, NJ., I was able to grow this organization from a grass roots small operation that opened its doors in 2015 with 346 student to a current standing of approximately 2,000 students in 2019. My academic programs, policies, procedures, marketing strategies, vast professional development and educator training model, as well as my metacognitive problem solving metrics were the key levers of the organization's success during my time as the Chief Academic Officer in this network. My efforts in building the network brand was to provide teachers with quality professional development, scholars with effective academic and extra curricular programming, and communities with environments that support the entire families. Together these components help shape college graduates which is the theme of my career work.
