Prior to her current roles, she served as Medical Director of the Adult Hospitalist Program at Salem Health from 2015 to 2017 and as Quality Director of the same program from 2013 to 2015. She also completed a fellowship in Hypertension and Kidney Transplant at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital from 2011 to 2013.

Swati Mehta has successfully operationalized service recovery tools aimed at improving patient experience.
