Cindy Cheng serves as the Vice President of People & Culture at COMO Hotels and Resorts in Singapore, a position she has held since 2022. With extensive experience in human resources and hospitality management, she has previously worked with notable organizations such as Rosewood Hotel Group and Grand Hyatt Hong Kong.
Work at COMO Hotels and Resorts
Cindy Cheng has served as Vice President of People & Culture at COMO Hotels and Resorts since 2022. In this role, she leads HR and learning functions across 18 properties in 10 countries. Her responsibilities include developing and implementing strategies that enhance employee engagement and organizational culture within the company.
Previous Experience in Human Resources
Prior to her current position, Cheng worked at Rosewood Hotel Group as Corporate Director of Human Resources Development from 2013 to 2018. During her tenure, she played a significant role in supporting the opening of over 15 projects across Asia, Europe, and the US. She also held various positions at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong, including Catering Sales Manager and Training Manager, where she contributed to training and development initiatives.
Education and Expertise
Cindy Cheng holds a Master's Degree in International Hospitality Management from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, completed between 2013 and 2016. She also earned a Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management from the same institution from 1991 to 1995. Additionally, she studied at the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership, achieving a Certificate of Organisational Coaching in 2022. Cheng is certified as an Insights Discovery Practitioner and is a licensed facilitator for Situational Leadership II.
Consulting and Community Involvement
Cheng founded SoTi Consulting, which provides HR solutions to hospitality and service corporations. She is also actively involved in community service, serving as an honorable judge for Junior Achievement Hong Kong and participating in the Befriender program of Daughters of Tomorrow.
Wine and Culinary Education
Cindy Cheng has pursued extensive education in wine and culinary arts. She studied at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, achieving Levels 1, 2, and 3 in Wine and Spirits from 2006 to 2008. Her involvement in wine fraternities and international food and wine societies reflects her commitment to the culinary field.
