His experience at TEKsystems includes roles as NJ Regional Manager and Specialist for the Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS Program from 2019 to 2022, and he currently holds the position of NJ/PA Regional Manager and Specialist since 2021. In addition, he worked as an Impact Coach/Site Math Point at City Year from 2014 to 2015.

Bashir leads the CSTA Equity Fellowship, which aims to promote equity in computer science education.
