About Jane Fogarty
With a global career trajectory spanning two continents and top public and private technology companies, I am currently Executive Vice President - Legal at Concentrix. As General Counsel at Turnitin, a data-driven subsidiary of Advance Publications that promotes integrity in education I launched a robust global legal function and support expansion into new markets through internal growth and multiple acquisitions spanning Europe, the Middle East (MENAT) and APAC, overseeing a team of eight professionals. I have also built out the company’s corporate governance, compliance and privacy functions, streamlined contracting for 15K+ customers worldwide, oversee regulatory approvals/reviews and handle government relations, employment law, intellectual property and other matters. Previously I was Vice President, Senior Counsel at SYNNEX, where I led litigation and regulatory compliance efforts worldwide, led six direct reports and shared dotted-line oversight of a global team of 40+ attorneys and staff. In this role, I negotiated and closed a $2B secured debt facility and served as a core member of the acquisition and integration team that handled more than $2.5B+ in international acquisitions. I also finalized SYNNEX’ acquisition of Concentrix from IBM, negotiating and settling a range of complex matters, such as foreign tax liabilities, securities law disclosures and the allocation of business assets and employee-related liabilities across 20+ jurisdictions. Prior to SYNNEX, I was Counsel for 10+ years to IBM Australia Ltd. and an attorney with two highly regarded Australian law firms. Admitted to practice in California and before the Supreme Court of NSW and High Court of Australia, I hold an LL.M. from the University of Toronto and undergraduate degrees in law and physical chemistry from the University of Sydney.
