Dr. Manar Shami serves as the Manager of Training and Development at Consolidated Contractors International Company since 2008. In this role, he focuses on enhancing the skills and competencies of staff through structured training programs. His responsibilities include re-engineering systems to improve the outputs and outcomes of vocational training centers worldwide. Dr. Shami has established training programs in over 16 countries, impacting a diverse workforce across various regions.

Dr. Shami earned his Ph.D. in Engineering/Civil from the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied Construction Management and Air Transportation from 1992 to 1995. He also obtained a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering from the same institution in 1991-1992, and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from 1990 to 1991. Before his current role, Dr. Shami gained significant experience in engineering and project management. He worked as a Senior Aviation Engineer at ATAC in Sunnyvale, California, from 1997 to 1998. He also served as a Project Manager for Buildings and Infrastructure Projects at Pacific Contracting from 1996 to 1997. His experience includes providing training for major projects such as the Presidential Palace in the UAE and the Riyadh Metro Project in Saudi Arabia.

Dr. Shami has made substantial contributions to training and development within the construction industry. He has raised the competency level of over 150,000 staff in technical and leadership skills through various training initiatives.
