Jon Bauer began his career in the Credit Audit Department of The Chase Manhattan Bank N.A. from 1977 to 1979, where he identified companies in the bank’s loan portfolio likely to default. He then served as a Senior Analyst in the Bankruptcy Group at Bear Stearns from 1981 to 1986, where he was involved in the successful control investment in Revere Copper and Brass. These roles provided him with valuable experience in credit analysis and distressed investments.
