I have over 20 years of experience as an entrepreneur, executive, and educator in the financial services, life sciences, and telecom sectors, with a focus on data, AI, and innovation. As the Executive Director of Vantage Ventures, I lead a team of passionate and talented professionals who support and invest in founders building scalable and impactful tech start-ups in the Appalachian region. I am also the co-founder of FinTech Sandbox, a global non-profit organization that provides access to high-quality data sets for fintech startups, and a board member and advisor for several fintech companies and organizations. I co-founded and led the predictive analytics firm, Capital Market Exchange, where we leveraged a Bayesian estimation technique, NLP and AI to help institutional bond investors quantify non-financial factors influencing spreads. I was previously the Chief Operating Officer for Innovation at State Street Bank’s Global Exchange division & Head of the bank's Innovation Ventures. My areas of investment focus are in digitizing private and public markets, DLT, and expanding access to community banking. I enjoy working with relentless problem solvers who are transforming the industry leveraging next generation technologies. I have been recognized by American Banker, Innovate Finance, Lattice80, and NY FinTech Women as one of the most influential and inspirational women in fintech. I am committed to channeling the power of the capital markets to drive impact and also lifting other women up.
