Previous Experience at U.S. Department of State
Artusio has extensive experience with the U.S. Department of State, where he held several key positions. He served as Director from 2013 to 2017, and prior to that, he was a Foreign Affairs Officer from 2001 to 2006. Additionally, he worked as Deputy Director from 2006 to 2012. His tenure in these roles contributed to his expertise in government operations and international relations.
Educational Background
Artusio holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences from the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied from 1991 to 1995. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, completing his studies from 1999 to 2001. Additionally, he participated in a German language immersion program at The University of Göttingen during his junior year in 1993 to 1994.
Experience in Environmental Policy
Before joining CREO, Artusio worked as a Policy Analyst at the Environmental Defense Fund from 1995 to 1999. His background also includes a Graduate Student Internship at the Executive Office of the President, The White House, in 2000, and a Legislative Fellowship at the United States Senate in 2003. This diverse experience has equipped him with a strong foundation in environmental policy and legislative processes.
