Joel Morris has been serving as the Director of Technology at Crescent Pass Energy since 2020. In this role, he has focused on creating a cloud-enabled, location-agnostic, resilient, and secure IT environment. His responsibilities include implementing SCADA Telemetry and Field Data Capture using Inductive Automation's Ignition Platform and P2 Merrik Field Operator. Additionally, he has developed a decentralized application access strategy for both public and private cloud environments. Morris has also led the development of Business Intelligence Analytics using Power BI and implemented Hybrid Identity, Access, and Security solutions utilizing Azure-Hybrid AD, Microsoft Threat Protection, and Endpoint Manager.
Previous Experience in Technology Management
Before joining Crescent Pass Energy, Joel Morris held various positions in technology management. He worked as a Senior System Administrator at JLL Capital Markets AB for nine months in 2019. Prior to that, he served as a Systems Administrator at Orion Marine Group from 2016 to 2019 and at WildHorse Resources Management Company, LLC from 2013 to 2015. He also gained experience as a System Administrator at Cobait for eight months in 2015 and as an IT Support Technician at SimplexGrinnell from 2011 to 2013.
