About Natasha Dolby

Natasha Dolby has over two decades of experience building and transforming organizations, managing complex projects, and advising leaders in the nonprofit sector. Over her career, she has designed and executed strategies for a range of organizations, created multimillion dollar impact portfolios for foundations, and engaged directly with high-level partners and government officials. She has helped multiple organizations advance their impact, particularly around diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice. As an immigrant to the US from Brazil, this work has both professional and personal resonance for her. As a social entrepreneur, she co-founded and grew Freedom Forward, an organization that remains a prominent voice for addressing systemic issues that impact youth in situations of vulnerability. As Board Chair, she received a Certificate of Honor from San Francisco’s Board of Supervisors for her “outstanding service to a significant portion of the people of the City and County of San Francisco.” As a board member, she has been a vital source of consultation and support for senior leadership, providing fiduciary oversight and governance. She has served as a thought partner and collaborator with other board members and staff in generative and strategic deliberations. In addition to oversight of programmatic strategies, organizational performance and budget, executive management, and regulatory compliance, she has taken part in active learning alongside staff and partners. Natasha currently serves on three boards: Freedom Fund, a leader in the global movement to end modern slavery; Asha Rising, a grassroots organization in India transforming the lives of older women; and as an advisor to Remake, a global advocacy organization fighting for fair pay and climate justice in the apparel industry. Outside her board engagements, Natasha is an angel investor, supporting women-led companies, and those focused on elevating worker voice and power, and reducing exploitation in supply chains. She is also an investor in social impact documentary media. Over her career, she has built lasting relationships of integrity with multiple stakeholders across sectors and is a connector of people and projects from different industries. She is a generalist who leans on her global perspective and intellectual rigor to be a bridge in difficult environments. She is a creative, values-driven leader who fosters an environment of care and respect where learning is a core value. She is a pragmatic-decision maker who leads with compassion, authenticity and inspires others to action.
