About Abhishek Bali
I really love what I do. I drive two programs: 1. The 3DEXPERIENCE Works for Startups program enables early-stage hardware startups with <$1M Revenue to access 3DEXPERIENCE Works roles including SOLIDWORKS for CAD, simulation, visualization, and more, Free for first year At 70% off for the second year, and At 50% off for the third year. 2. 3DEXPERIENCE Lab is Dassault Systèmes's global startup accelerator and open innovation program. The 3DEXPERIENCE Lab runs a zero-equity, super selective program where we are looking for scale-shifting technology startups that are solving hard engineering problems for a better world, and are aligned to one or more Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as outlined by the UN under its 2030 vision. KEY DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO PROGRAMS: While the 3DEXPERIENCE Lab program is super selective, and admits 15-18 startups focused on Sustainability/ Impact per year, 3DEXPERIENCE Works for Startups program, on the other hand, accepts a much wider range of hardware startups from across industries, domains and geographies, and gives them access to the tools they need to climb further notches in their journeys. ——— Also: I am part of 3DEXPERIENCE Works Strategy and Business Development team through which I help with Early Engagement and Community programs. I help support potentially over 2000 digital fabrication labs (fab labs) across the world with our software solutions and training, thanks to Dassault Systèmes's partnership with MIT's Center for Bits and Atoms (CBA), and The Fab Foundation. Along with playing a vital link in this strong Industry-Academia collaboration, I am involved in setting up one new fully equipped fab lab every year with Dr. Neil Gershenfield's team at MIT CBA in usually a remote corner of the earth that has passionate 'makers' in the making. We have opened labs to support local needs with global tools of digital fabrication in Rwanda, Bhutan and Puerto Williams in Chile (the southernmost city of the world. ———— With my background in Engineering, Design and Business, I always try to be a swiss-knife that works around grey areas, cuts the white noise, clips the unnecessary and rolls up its sleeves to get things done. I love what I enable through this role! I succeed 83.77% times. I am a stoic.
