About Virginia Ulrich (She/They)

This is me ... https://medium.com/@virginiaulrich. These are some of the things I believe, that I have learned, that it felt important to share. No matter how a company grows or changes, it can maintain a culture of trust, autonomy, creativity, empowerment, and fun. The wonderful challenge is how to grow-up and change without forgetting the magic of childhood. So, let's think long-term and create scalable, sustainable solutions that make the job easier; ensure the right balance between accountability, trust, and empowerment; and create more space for creativity and fun. Let's grow and thrive, but never at the expense of others. As Jim Rohn said, let's "...be strong, but not rude; be kind, but not weak; be bold, but not bully; be thoughtful, but not lazy; be humble, but not timid; be proud, but not arrogant; have humor, but without folly." Let's be organized, efficient, passionate, and smile – treating these as the basics. Let's solve problems with creativity, collaboration, patience, and dedication. Let's use our imaginations to connect the dots, look at the big picture, and think ahead. Let's pay attention to the details and dig in the weeds from time to time. Let's remain curious and allow those around us to inspire and motivate us. And when a solution seems ever evasive, let's remember that it’s no more complicated than building a blanket fort: remember when that was the challenge? And those degrees in literature? Well, it means I am trained to think deeply, quickly, build a case, and prove it. Those degrees lend themselves to the business environment. Don’t let them fool you.
