Since 2021, Ashish Jain has served as the Head of Search, ML at Dealpath, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, he has optimized Generative AI LLM access costs and performance through the application of weak learners and intelligent prompt engineering. He has also modernized the search user interface, integrating search as a navigational feature across the platform. Jain led the development and launch of Power Search, transitioning legacy search systems to scalable microservices using Golang and Elasticsearch 8.x. Additionally, he implemented a rich document search solution capable of handling over 650,000 documents, enhancing the overall search experience.
Previous Experience
Prior to his current position, Jain held several roles in notable companies. He worked at Apple as the Siri Search Relevance Lead in the Maps domain from 2016 to 2021. Before that, he was a Principal Software Engineer at RSA, The Security Division of EMC, from 2008 to 2011. Jain also served as a Senior Software Engineer at IBM Global Services India from 1999 to 2001. His experience includes a role as a Sr. Software Engineer in Search Relevance at Yahoo! from 2005 to 2008, and as a Lead Platform Engineer at Fanhood, which was acquired by Fox Sports, from 2011 to 2013.

Ashish Jain earned a Master of Science in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas, where he studied from 2001 to 2003. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication from SJCE Mysore, which he completed from 1995 to 1999.
