About Blair Neal

I am a Creative Technology Leader with a passion for unique and innovative experiential installations that are driven by technology, but are made with empathy and respect for humans. Since 2010, I have worked on or led over 80 client projects that have ranged from large theater performances, permanent installations, event based activations, and many things in between. Projects I have worked on have won several Cannes Lions among other awards, and my agency was named the Ad Age Small Agency of the Year (Northeast) in 2016. Clients over the years have included Google, Samsung, Nokia, Nike, IBM, Lexus, 7UP, HP, Twitter and more. In addition to my professional work, I’m also an accomplished new media artist with a passion for light art, alternative displays, visuals and performance. I have done live visuals for bands like Phantogram and Girl Talk, and have made music videos for groups like Braids and Lymbyc Systym. I also devote a lot of my personal practice to open source software, organizing Arts+Tech meet ups to foster community, and writing popular guides on the field of creative technology. As a Creative Technology Leader, I cover a lot of bases. My experience delivering dozens of different project types has given me a lot of generalist knowledge in many areas and has suited me well to oversight of the entire technology team. As oversight, I help guide the overall project process with other departments and enable my technology leads to do their best work once the project moves forward. I also contribute heavily to initial creative ideation and shape the project and ideas with what technologies feel most appropriate to the ask in terms of budget, feasibility, and innovative approach. Guiding internal R&D projects in the Creative Technology department is also a crucial element of my role, ensuring we stay at the forefront of what technologies enable a good experience for a user or client.
