Her early work experience includes roles at NASA and GE Aviation, where she gained practical insights into engineering applications.

Achievements

During her time at NASA, Anaya participated in the Lunar Loo Challenge for two months in 2020, contributing to innovative space solutions. She also led the design of a supercapacitor module for the RoboGrinder team, which involved creating a capacitor bank capable of producing 27V and transmitting power between 2000J to 2200J. Additionally, she designed a power controller to ensure consistent voltage output during competitions, showcasing her technical skills and leadership in engineering projects.

Current Roles and Responsibilities

Anaya Acharya currently holds multiple positions in the engineering field. She is an Embedded System Team Lead at the Martian Subsurface Analysis Team, a role she has maintained since 2019. In this capacity, she focuses on mission architecture engineering design. Additionally, she is an active student at Virginia Tech, where she continues to expand her knowledge and skills in engineering.
