He also holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in the same field from Waseda University, completed between 2008 and 2010. Prior to that, he obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University from 2003 to 2007. Zhixiang Chen's professional journey began after completing his Bachelor’s degree at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, where he worked as an R&D Engineer at Shanghai Mitsubishi Elevator Co., LTD for six months in 2007. He then transitioned to Schlumberger, serving as an Electrical/Firmware Engineer from 2013 to 2018 in Sagamihara, Kanagawa, Japan. Additionally, he has held various academic positions, including a Visiting Scholar role at National Taiwan University in 2013 and a JSPS PD Research Fellow at Waseda University from 2011 to 2013.
