I have over a decade of SaaS sales experience, primarily in Sales Development management roles. SDR Management is the Venn Diagram of where my passion and competence overlap. • Leadership Philosophy: I believe in creating an environment of trust through radical candor, competence, and leading by example. The best ideas come from the trenches; it is easier to iterate them in a judgment-free environment. • Management Philosophy: Set clear expectations, manage the process, coach the individual, and use metrics to diagnose where to coach. There should be a daily element of coaching, accountability, motivation, competition, and laughter. • Personal Philosophy: The more responsibility you take on, the more meaning you find in life. Find a way over finding an excuse. Take ownership. Be a life-long learner. Be a good person, do good things. Enjoy the ride. I have built two Sales Development departments from the ground up. I was fortunate to experience the journey from Series A-D, building teams from SMB-Ent, Inbound, Outbound, Account Development, and Expansion, and working alongside incredible leadership teams in the process. I think about team building regarding the people, process/technology, and cross-departmental alignment. 1) I joined Bizzabo as employee #26 and the 1st SDR, grew to ~300 employees, and led a team of 15 SDRs. This allowed me to build out and lead a team while owning the enablement, coaching, training, motivation, performance management, tech stack, and recruiting process. 2) I joined LeadIQ to develop the Sales Dev department and grew it from 4 SDRs to 25 at its peak. This role allowed me the unique experience of working with our ML team to build a patented product that implemented GPT into our personalization framework. I also built an Internship program/boot camp and partnered with 3 universities to open new pools of talent. I have also consulted companies on 12-week contracts to further their SDR departments based on their needs/goals. On a personal note, I enjoy DIY projects around the house, playing chess, dividend investing, Peloton, and exploring the Austin food scene with my lovely wife and newborn son. Currently, I’m working at Eagle Eye Networks, an AI Video Management System, to build their global market development function.
