Gabriela Cruz studied at Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she earned a Bicultural Bachelor’s degree from 2005 to 2008. She furthered her education in human resources, completing a Diplomado en Sistemas Estratégicos de Compensaciones y Beneficios in 2019 and a Diplomado en Administración Estratégica de Recursos Humanos from 2013 to 2014. Additionally, she holds a degree in International Relations from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, obtained from 2010 to 2013.

She also worked as a Mexican Cultural Representative at Walt Disney World in Orlando from 2008 to 2009. Additionally, she served as the Local Committee President for AIESEC UNAM in 2012, where she led initiatives to promote cultural exchange and leadership development.
