About Eric Anthony ðŸ§
My passion lies at the intersection of IT service delivery and the entrepreneurial mindset. I am also a firm believer in the need for "intrapreneurs" as a source of innovation, strategy and problem solving in any size business. I believe in learning, data, and experimentation as the pathway to business success. Equally important is using those analytics to provide great customer or partner experience to make customers for life. I enjoy work, to create a product and experience that fills a need, delights the user, and doesn’t require a manual. I have delivered newspapers, bagged groceries, and owned my own companies. I have had C-level positions and less prestigious roles that I brought me significant knowledge, experience, and satisfaction. I am currently focused on creating channel communities and teams that help vendors engage MSP partners for the purpose of creating long-term value for the vendor and partner. I also enjoy hiking, camping, and generally living life while documenting those adventures with video and photographs. My educational background, starting in high school, was in computers. I owned my first computer in 1985 and started programming at the same time. I graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1992 with a degree in computer engineering. I have continued to develop applications for fun and profit including current technologies utilizing Python/Django and SQL. I am also known to tinker with Arduino and Raspberry Pi IoT projects at home. In 2013, I sold my managed services business to move to the vendor side of the channel where I proceeded to lead an international team of sales engineers that not only focused on demonstrating how the product worked, but also drive managed service providers towards creating solutions that solved business problems for their clients. After the acquisition of LogicNow by SolarWinds, I began working across the MSP side of the organization as Principal, Customer Experience to improve partner experience prior to the SolarWinds IPO. Post-IPO, that position culminated in being one of the original Head Nerds at SolarWinds MSP where I created content, events, and programs to help managed service providers create efficiencies for increased revenue and profit.
