About Francesco Lescai
With a background in medical biotechnology, statistical genetics and molecular biology, my area of expertise is focused on computational genomics and bioinformatics. I had the opportunity to work in a range of diverse environments (academia, industry, government), delivering data science solutions to understand the basis of human diseases, to develop best-in-class products, or to support global standards. I am strategy-focused and like understanding the bigger picture: for this reason, I have also built experiences as an expert in policy advisory groups at national and international level. I have led a wide range of teams, both on site and across different countries, and managed professionals with different disciplinary backgrounds, always focused on people’s growth and creation of new opportunities.
