About Jan Slovak
Jan Slovák has been working as Professor and Researcher in the field of differential geometry at Universität Wien,(Austria), Adelaide University, (Australia), and at Masaryk University on a long term basis, and also shortly at many other research centres abroad. His commitment to strategic development projects resulted in participation in numerous further activities at academic, regional and national levels (e.g. Dean of the Faculty of Science of MU, Vice-Rector for Strategy and Development of MU, Adviser to Minister for Youth, Education, and Sports in the matters of European funds and technology transfer, Deputy Chairman of the Development Fund CESNET, Head of the Physical Sciences Section of the Czech Grant Agency, etc.). During 2006-2011 he led the TTO office as its Director. Since 2008, Jan Slovak serves as the Editor-in-Chief of one of the prestigeous Elsevier journals.
