Catalin Mircu has extensive work experience in the software testing and quality assurance field. Before his current role at Endava, he served as the Testing Discipline Lead at the same company from 2020 to 2021. From 2007 to 2018, he was the Test and QA Manager at Cyberslotz Services / Allbet in Pitesti, Romania. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Test Leader at ISA Net Software between 2001 and 2007. Additionally, he spent nearly a year as an English Teacher at CFR Highschool.
Education and Expertise
Catalin Mircu holds a Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Pitesti, where he studied from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, he attended 'Vlaicu-Voda' Highschool from 1992 to 1996. Key Responsibilities
As Head of Testing at Endava, Catalin is responsible for multiple key activities. He creates and checks test cases/scripts, ensuring they are comprehensive. He oversees the entire system testing process, including interface and release readiness testing. Catalin manages the processes to record and report software bugs, from new to fixed, ensures the team performs regression testing for production applications, and trains customer support teams on new modules. He also advises the Technical Director on deviations from the project plan and helps develop exception plans.
