Marius Harpau is currently the Head of Architecture Discipline at Endava Bucharest. In this role, he manages a team of approximately 25 application design leads and architects. Marius Harpau has an extensive career at Endava, having held multiple roles since 2012. He served as an Application Architect from 2012 to 2013 and again from 2013 to 2014. He was the Java Practice Area Lead from 2013 to 2015 and then transitioned to a Senior Software Architect role, serving two non-consecutive terms in 2016 and from 2016 to 2017. He also briefly worked as a Solution Architect for four months in 2017. Currently, he is the Head of Architecture Discipline at Endava Bucharest.

Before joining Endava, Marius Harpau worked in several key positions in software development. He was a Senior Software Developer/Application Architect at BlueSpace from 2005 to 2012. Marius held the role of Senior Java Developer at Moodmedia in 2004 and at Akela Informatique from 2002 to 2004. He also served as a Senior Java Developer at STAROM Invest between 2001 and 2002. Earlier in his career, he worked as a C++ and Java Developer at QBIT Romania from 1999 to 2001.

Educational Background

Marius Harpau holds a Master’s Degree in Intelligent Systems and Bioengineering from Politehnica University of Bucharest, completed in 1999. He also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Automatic Control and Systems Engineering from the same institution, where he studied from 1993 to 1998. Additionally, he studied at the University of Sheffield on a TEMPUS grant, focusing on Automatic Control & Systems Engineering for 11 months in 1998.

Responsibilities and Contributions at Endava

In his role at Endava, Marius Harpau is involved in several key activities. He mentors members of the Architecture Discipline, conducts technical presentations on key architectural topics, and organizes as well as conducts job interviews for application design lead and software architect positions.
