Radu Marinescu has accumulated extensive experience in various prestigious roles. He was a Member and later the President of the Information Science and Technology Committee at the Romanian National Research Council (CNCS) from 2020 to 2021. Earlier, he served as Vice-President of the CNCS from 2011 to 2013. Marinescu also co-founded Intooitus, where he worked from 2008 to 2016. His academic journey includes positions at Politehnica University of Timisoara as an Associate Professor from 2006 to 2013, Assistant Professor from 2004 to 2006, and Teaching Assistant from 1998 to 2004.
Educational Background
Radu Marinescu has a rich educational history, beginning with his Baccalaureate in Mathematics and Physics from Liceul Moise Nicoara (1988-1992). He earned his Engineer's degree (1992-1997) and Master's degree (1997-1998) in Computer Software Engineering from Politehnica University of Timisoara. He then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Software Engineering from Politehnica University Timisoara and Universität Karlsruhe (TH) from 1998 to 2002. Furthermore, he achieved a Habilitation (Dr. habil.) in Software Engineering from the Ministry of Education and Science from 2012 to 2013.
