Prior to that, she served as an Endowed Professor and Chief of the Division of Clinical Research at the University of Florida from 2010 to 2013, and as a Professor of Emergency Medicine and Neurosurgery at the University of Rochester from 2008 to 2010.

Latha Ganti earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Ponce School of Medicine. She also holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Clinical & Translational Research from the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Additionally, she completed her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry at the University of Rochester.
Research Contributions and Initiatives
Latha Ganti has made significant contributions to research in emergency medicine. She chairs the research committee of the Council of Residency Directors (CORD) and has developed a comprehensive clinical research didactic lecture series for Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs. She has also created a research policy manual for GME research and has engaged with stakeholders to assess needs for research training and infrastructure development.
