He later held the position of Directeur principal des programmes from 2004 to 2007 and then became Directeur général from 2007 until 2020. His tenure involved significant contributions to program development and organizational leadership.

Michel Lambert studied at Université Laval, where he achieved a degree in communications. He also attended Université de Sherbrooke, obtaining a baccalauréat in psychoéducation from 1988 to 1991.
