About Andrey Mikhaylovsky

Since the beginning of 2009 I have been working exclusively as a development engineer for various Optimization Teams to achieve better RF and MIPS Performance and Power Consumption in the ST-Ericsson Platforms. My role - to develop software on the edge, where embedded software is connected to the physical world – RF transceivers, make it stable and efficient. This includes drivers design, interaction with baseband processors, ASIC & HW configuration. Of course, this requires knowledge and understanding about each area to be able to discuss the technical issues with everyone and introduce new aspect angles, get my hands dirty in the lab to dig up new information. In this environment I have learned a lot about what performance can be squeezed out of the Embedded Systems we have today, as well as how our team works and feels during the stressful time when hunting some critical issues. Specialties: ARM7, ARM9, ARM11 architecture. UMTS protocols, HSDPA/HSUPA and Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (physical layer), Testing Tools.
