His role involves overseeing design strategies and ensuring the user experience aligns with the company's objectives.
Previous Experience in Design
Before joining Even, Ashok worked at Vedantu as Associate Director of Design for seven months in 2021. He also held the position of Head of Design at Grofers from 2015 to 2020, where he gained experience in product management to better understand business goals. His earlier role was as a UI/UX Designer at Housing.com from 2014 to 2015.
Education and Expertise
Ashok Thariyan graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Design (B.Des) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, where he studied from 2010 to 2014. His academic focus included Human-Computer Interaction. He possesses expertise in tangible interaction design and ubiquitous computing, which informs his design approach in his current and previous roles.
Internship Experience
Ashok has completed notable internships that contributed to his design skills. He was a UX design intern at Google in 2013 for two months in Bangalore and a summer intern at the Defence Research and Development Organisation in 2012 for two months in Pune. These experiences helped shape his understanding of user experience and design principles.

Ashok attended Rajagiri Public School, where he studied Computer Science and completed his high school education from 1995 to 2009. This foundational education provided him with the technical skills necessary for his future studies and career in design.
