His experience includes a 14-year tenure at Alcon Laboratories, Inc. as Director and Head of Medical Safety for the Pharmaceutical Franchise.

David Wells began his career in healthcare as a Critical Care Registered Nurse in the Neuro ICU at University of Utah Health, where he worked for 11 years from 1988 to 1999. He also served as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the University of Utah School of Medicine for 2 years. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of Utah, where he studied Registered Nursing, Nursing Administration, Nursing Research, and Clinical Nursing from 1987 to 1991.
