Current Position and Responsibilities
Andrew Cockayne currently holds the role of Regional Discipline Technical Lead, Europe, and Middle East– Offsites and Utilities at ExxonMobil. In this capacity since 2018, he provides oversight and guidance on Offsites and Utilities elements for projects varying from small-scale site projects to mega projects exceeding $1 billion. Additionally, Cockayne leads multidisciplinary special focus reviews aimed at enhancing Utilities plant performance and delivers practices and performance measures to sustain these operations.

Before his current role, Andrew Cockayne has held various positions at ExxonMobil. He served as an Offsites and Utilities Engineer in the Project Development Division from 2016 to 2018 in Houston, Texas. From 2014 to 2016, he worked as a Process Engineer for Offsites and Utilities across Europe and the Middle East. His earlier roles included Utilities and Energy Specialist (2011-2014) and Process Support Engineer (2008-2011) in Fife, Scotland. Additionally, Cockayne has experience as a Project Development Engineer from 2006 to 2008 in the same location.
Experience at BP
Before joining ExxonMobil, Andrew Cockayne accumulated substantial experience at BP. Between 2004 and 2006, he was an Olefins Manufacturing Engineer in Grangemouth, Scotland. Prior to that, he worked as a Polymers Optimisation Engineer from 2002 to 2004 and as a Polymers Technologist from 2000 to 2002. His initial role at BP was as an Olefins Technical Support Engineer from 1998 to 2000, also based in Grangemouth, Scotland.
