About Jeboah M.
Most people stumble across my profile when they see a post of mine, watch me discus mental health or food sustainability on the news (CBC, Global TV, City TV, CTV) or hear from a mutual friend about me losing both my brothers to suicide when I was a 16 and 17 years old. But let me take you back to where it all really began. I studied Psychology and Business at McGill University and the University of Ottawa and went on to work in the world of marketing, brand management and communications for companies such as RBC, General Electric, Newell Brands (Sharpie, Coleman, Rubbermaid) and others over the course of a decade. During that time, and even years prior, I was also working and volunteering within the nonprofit space and began Jeboah Miranda Foundation in 2018 to teach women-identifying and non-binary youth how to build their Mental Toughness to not only endure traumas that they will inevitably face (IE: the pandemic), but to avoid seeing suicide as a viable option. In 2019 I decided to leave my corporate job in Brand Management at Newell Brands and become a Brand Strategy Consultant and Brand and Mental Health Keynote Speaker and have been doing so ever since, with a large portion of my clients coming from the healthcare, nonprofit and CPG space. During the pandemic, I built and launched a mobile app called Blazer on both iOS and Android to further help women ages 16-24 build their mental grit, gain access to mentors to bridge the gender equity divide, and to create a safe space of support to prevent youth suicide. To further fuel my soul, I also decided to study nutrition part-time and this led to me obtaining an Associate's Degree in Applied Holistic Nutrition. I am deeply passionate about gender equity, mental health and branding and play in that space by being a Board Director at Nellie's Shelter - a $20 million dollar women and children's shelter in Toronto. Now that you know a little bit more about me feel free to send me a message and say hello, email me at info@jeboahmiranda.ca, or visit my website at jeboahmiranda.ca and jump into my world a little further.
