Additionally, she worked at Hypermarcas S/A as Diretora Executiva da Divisão de Produtos de Consumo from 2009 to 2011, and at SKY do Brasil as Diretora de Marketing de Relacionamento e Produto from 1999 to 2005.

Mel Girão has a robust educational background. She earned her Doutorado in Administração de Empresas from FGV EAESP between 2019 and 2023. She also holds a Master's degree in Administração de Empresas com Especialização em Marketing from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, completed in 1997.
