Prior to her current position, Azba Habib held several key roles in compliance and legal departments. She worked at Kabbage, Inc. as Assistant General Counsel, BSA/AML Officer, and Corporate Secretary from 2015 to 2020. She also served as Deputy General Counsel at Kraken Bitcoin Exchange for five months in 2014 and as Regulatory Counsel at BitPay, Inc. for 11 months in 2014-2015. Additionally, she was Associate Counsel at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta from 2011 to 2014.

Education and Expertise

Azba Habib has a strong educational background in law and finance. She studied at The University of Georgia, earning her J.D. from 2005 to 2008. She also attended the University of Oxford, where she is currently pursuing further studies in law. Earlier, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Finance, Pre-Law from the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2002 to 2005.

Azba Habib began her legal career as a Summer Associate at Miller & Martin PLLC in 2006. She also gained experience as an Associate at Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP from 2008 to 2011. Her early experience includes a finance internship at Morgan Stanley in 2004, which provided her with foundational knowledge in financial services.
