Ryan Tanner is currently a Sr. Regional Compliance Manager Americas, LCB, MES, CCS, CES at Flexport based in the Greater Atlanta Area. His responsibilities include overseeing compliance programs, managing TSA security programs, and acting as the designated Security Coordinator responsible for FMC regulations and rate filing compliance. Additionally, he holds the position of ITAR Empowered Official for DDTC licensing at Flexport.
Previous Experience
Prior to working at Flexport, Ryan Tanner worked at Tigers Limited as Director of Compliance for seven years (2012–2019) in Atlanta, GA - Chicago, IL. Before that, he spent 6 months at DB Schenker as Compliance Manager (2011–2012) and seven years at Global Link Logistics as Sr. Brokerage Specialist (2004–2011) in the Greater Atlanta Area. His extensive experience includes developing compliance frameworks and regulatory management across different logistics and distribution companies.
Education and Certifications
Ryan Tanner studied Pre-Law Studies at Middle Georgia College from 2002 to 2004. He holds various credentials pertinent to his field, including LCB (Licensed Customs Broker), MES, CCS (Certified Customs Specialist), CES, and is an OSHA authorized trainer for 10/30hr general industry safety and hazardous materials training. His background provides a robust foundation in legal and compliance matters.

Ryan Tanner is an active member of the Atlanta International Freight Brokers Association (AIFBA), where he has served as Vice President of the Board, Secretary of the Board, and Education Committee Chairperson. He also serves on the National Customs Brokers and Forwarders Association of America (NCBFAA) subcommittee for export regulation and compliance.
