Passionate about storytelling, truth-seeking and social justice, I’m an award-winning entrepreneur, presenter, cross-platform journalist, producer and podcast host. I'm also a Startup Superfan, investing in and mentoring founders across the Australian ecosystem. Storytelling has always been at the heart of what I do. I’ve been a journalist, presenter and content creator for 20+ years … with News Corp, PBL, ACP and Channel Nine .. and today continue to create cross-platform content as a freelancer and ABC presenter, producer and cohost of the top-rating Human Cogs podcast. In 2023 I received the Faculty of Arts Award for the highest achievement in the Monash University Master of Journalism, and was a Startmate Media Fellow 2022. In the startup ecosystem I'm an early-stage investor and mentor with Flying Fox Ventures, Startmate and Blackbird Giants with a portfolio of 50+ companies, am a graduate of VC Catalyst and an adviser to outstanding ANZ founders building world-class companies. In 2016 I graduated from a Master of Entrepreneurship at the University of Melbourne (MBS) and have founded two startups. 👉🏽 FUTURE AMP - In 2019 I founded Future Amp, and across 2019-2022 led product development, GTM strategy and on-demand digital content for a proprietary edtech career skills platform used by 50,000 youth, and backed by global industries, AWS, state governments, David Gonski's national Future Minds Accelerator and The University of Melbourne. 👉🏽 GIRLEDWORLD - I founded and was CEO (2016-2022) of award-winning career education company girledworld, connecting 100’s of outstanding STEM, startup and tech business mentors with 40,000+ young women to upskill them for the future of work. Girledworld also designed future workforce enterprise skills, entrepreneurship and STEM education programs plus on-demand digital learning content modules for Australian industry and state government partners. Committed to growing capabilities in entrepreneurship to drive business innovation, I have extensive experience in corporate innovation and facilitation, and am qualified in Design Thinking and Lean Startup methodologies with Stanford University, IDEO, The University of Melbourne and Inventium. I hold Non-Executive Board Director positions, received the 2023 Monash University Faculty of Arts Master of Journalism Award, 2020 University of Melbourne Faculty of Business and Economics Leadership Award and 2019 Victorian Tech Diversity Award. But my greatest work has always come from learning by doing, and remaining a forever apprentice to my four ace daughters.🌎✨
