About Scotty Reiss
I’m the founder of A Girls Guide to Cars, the leading digital automotive site for women. We reach 2MM women a month on our site and social channels and an additional 15 million a month through syndication. Our mission is to empower non-auto enthusiast women, who spend $500 billion+ a year on cars, to feel more confident and engaged in car ownership by presenting cars on their terms. I am also a jurist and Steering Committee member overseeing Communications for the World Car Awards, the leading body recognizing excellence and innovation in automotive, as well as host of World Car TV; I’m the past president of the International Motor Press Association, which leads the industry's finest automotive journalists and public relations executives; and I’m a member of the board of directors of Women in Automotive, the top organization of women in the industry. I am, at heart, a content strategist and developer. Previously I was the editor in chief of Luxe magazine; a reporter and editor at Adweek; a freelance writer for the New York Times, Town & Country, Entrepreneur, Madison and others. I created thought leadership and executive guidance for compliance and culture leader LRN; I produced the content (from topics and speakers to impact and takeaway) for the American Express Publishing Luxury Summit, the Luxury Marketing Council and PR Week’s annual conference; I led a team at a leading consumer goods company to apply for Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For recognition (the company was recognized every year during my tenure) and co-wrote the biography of Stew Leonard. My automotive guilty pleasures include driving a manual transmission (my daily driver is a 6-speed luxury sedan) and performance driving on a track (some of my favorites include Laguna Seca, Monticello Motor Club, Circuit of the Americas, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Summit Point), which I think everyone should experience at least once. When not working I enjoy travel, shopping, jewelry design and letting my kids and dog ignore me in real time.
